Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar: A fight between Kendrick Lamar and Drake that had been going on for years was brought up again this spring, and fans of both artists and people who weren’t into music joined in the fun. Both singers put out a number of songs, and each one was meant to insult and make fun of the other while also showing off the skills of the artist who made it.
Lamar and Drake both had big hits on the Billboard charts with songs that were meant to insult each other. One of the songs that was very important in the singing fight became famous months after the fight ended (for now).
The song “Not Like Us” occupies the first line on this week’s Hot Rap Songs list. Lamar song which is also a pretty strong dig aimed at Drake is currently sitting atop of the billboard rap songs played in the United States for 21 frames running.
“Not Like Us” breaks an all-time record as it becomes the twenty-first song to stay at the top of the Hot Rap Songs chart without a break. Lamar’s single has been No. 1 on the chart longer than any other song ever.
Last frame, “Not Like Us” was tied for the most frames spent at the top of the Hot Rap Songs chart. Lamar tied Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’s “Old Town Road” for the most weeks at No. 1 with 20. That record stood for several years.
There is no longer any competition for this spot on the charts for “Not Like Us,” but that doesn’t mean the song is over. Lamar is expected to stay at the top of the list for at least a few more weeks. Still, his song is doing really well, and not just in the rap field. It could add many more frames in charge before it finally falls from the top for good.
As we speak, this diss by Lamar is at number one on three Billboard charts. But as it stands, there is no doubt which is the current hit rap song goes, – Not Like Us. It is also the most streamed and played song in the United States.
Other genre listing also ranks this hit song in top five including lists such as Hot R&B /Hip-Hop Songs, R&B /Hip-Hop Streaming Songs, and R&B /Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales. This week, “Not Like Us” gave up the number one spot only on several of those lists to “Timeless” the first single released from The Weekand and Playboi Carti’s project.
