Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has exceeded many people’s expectations whether by guiding actress Jenna Ortega towards the $500 million mark at the box office, shattering the success of its original, or even enabling the legendary Catherine O’Hara to approach $2 billion domestically. Now with almost two weeks of Box Office supremacy under its belt and with the Tim Burton-helmed sequel showing no signs of slowing down, it’s most likely the records and milestones will keep falling. After yet another several days of financial success, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice formally ranked in the Top 50 Comedies of All Time worldwide at the box office.

Currently ranked at number 46 with a worldwide total of $274 million, the much-expected sequel has lately passed the likes of Eddie Murphy’s The Nutty Professor, the 2010 Dennis Dugan movie Grown Ups, and Nicholas Stoller’s Neighbours to establish itself in this elite list. The unfortunate title loses its place because of Beetlejuice.

Borat, the critically praised politically charged comedy missing out despite a total harvest of $261 million, is the reason Beetlejuice is successful. With the most recent fourth iteration of the Jack Black-led cartoon blockbuster Kung Fu Panda now ranking fourth all-time with a total of $548 million, only one other US movie finds a place on this top 50 list.

On top of this beautiful Box Office list is one of the biggest box office hits in cinema history, nearly tripling the total of the second-ranking movie. Closing only $150 million short of one billion worldwide at the box office, Greta Gerwig’s Barbie – halves of 2023’s largest and most unlikely co-shareholder – is half of what it needs to be. Though it won’t live up to the dizzying heights of the Mattel-inspired masterpiece, considering the gothic sequel’s present financial trend, it will probably keep climbing the list in the next weeks and maybe even challenge to enter the top 25.

The Box Office has ups and downs in 2024; the highs of Inside Out 2 are offset by the lows of Borderlands. Unfortunately, not only the already one of the highest-grossing films in cinema history but numerous films have also found financial success—not just the stated Pixar sequel. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has made it onto the Top 10 Movies at the 2024 US Box Office despite the apparently limitless popularity of the likes of Inside Out 2, Deadpool & Wolverine, Despicable Me 4, and others.

With the degree of rivalry in 2024, this is no small effort. Sadly, for many, the draw of seeing those legendary characters on-screen once more proved too seductive as theatres sold seats faster than you could imagine three times.

Beetlejuice Officially, Beetlejuice is among the Top 50 Comedies of All Time in the worldwide Box Office. Right now, the sequel is on show in theatres.

The much-expected follow-up has the cheeky ghost Beetlejuice returning to were havoc on the living planet. Beetlejuice must negotiate the craziness of modern life and deal with the after-living implications after being inadvertently called by a new family, resulting in spectacular and eerie exploits.
