The women’s basketball superstar enjoys golf but admits that she rarely gets to play during the summer.

Clark has become one of basketball’s biggest names despite only playing one season in the WNBA, where she was crowned rookie of the year. The 22-year-old has been open about her dissatisfaction with the competition’s timetable.

The WNBA runs during the summer, which prevents Clark from spending more time on the golf course. The Indiana Fever guard, an avid golfer, confesses that her game has taken a ‘backseat’ to her basketball career.

Clark “Everyone thinks I’m far better than I actually am, so…The one disadvantage of the WNBA is that it coincides with golf season. So my golf skills will have to take a backseat to basketball.

Caitlin Clark, the Iowa Hawkeyes’ top guard and a rising name in women’s basketball, has gained notice not only for her on-court abilities but also for her honest thoughts on athletics. In a recent interview, Clark discussed the prospect of switching sports, highlighting both the allure and the hardships that come with such a change.

The Annika, the LPGA Tour’s penultimate event, will host Clark for the pro-am competition in November. Annika Sorenstam, a former golfer, hosts the competition. Clark will also be a panelist at the Women’s Leadership Summit at Pelican Golf Club.

Clark confessed following Indiana Fever’s play-off loss to Connecticut Sun that she intended to play golf until it got cold in Indiana. During the summer, she joked about wanting to “become a professional golfer”.

“I love golf so the opportunity to play in the pro-am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam’s name on it is so exciting,” says Clark. “I’m looking forward to seeing all the LPGA players on the driving range, being part of the Women’s Leadership Summit, and, of course, teeing it up in the pro-am with Annika.”

Clark is one of the most popular players in the WNBA. She was featured in all 15 of this year’s most-watched matches, and one of her play-off matches drew 2.5 million people.

However, the WNBA is under pressure to keep Clark on its roster, as there is a new 3-on-3 basketball league led by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier.

“It’s just so crazy because the growth that Caitlin has brought to the game, the sheer amount of money that she’s making these teams, people are having to move their venues for when she comes to play,” Collier told me. “And she is paid about $75,000 per year… She should be one of the [highest-paid] players in the world just because of the enormous volume she brings.”

Dedication to Basketball:

Clark is currently concentrating on her basketball career, which has already earned her multiple accolades and a large fan base. Her college performance has set high standards for her future, and she intends to continue honing her skills on the court. “Basketball is where my heart is,” she confirmed. “I’m committed to growing as a player and leading my team.”

The temptation to switch sports

During the discussion, Clark expressed his excitement about exploring new athletic opportunities. “Switching to another sport would be exciting,” she told me. “Every sport offers its own challenges and rewards.

” She emphasized how the adrenaline rush of competing in diverse venues can be energizing, as well as how it can bring fresh experiences that help athletes improve their skill set.
