Nevada’s HENDERSON — Davante Adams provided some clarification about his previous comments on Sunday, in which he had caused a stir when he compared Aaron Rodgers, his former quarterback with the Green Bay Packers, to Derek Carr, his new quarterback with the Las Vegas Raiders. Adams’ comments had compared Carr to Rodgers.

Adams told CBS Sports on Friday that it will take some time for fans to adjust to the fact that a quarterback position has been passed from one Hall of Famer to another.

Rodgers, who is entering his 18th season as a player in the NFL, has been named the league’s Most Valuable Player four times. He also received this honour following the Packers’ victory in Super Bowl XLV.

Carr, who will be playing in his ninth season in the NFL, has been selected to the Pro Bowl three times despite having a career regular-season record of just 57-70.

However, he holds nearly every passing record in Raiders franchise history and has just made his playoff debut (a broken right leg ended his season two games before the 2016 postseason).

Adams explained his initial parallel by referring to a mistake in some music.

On Sunday, Adams remarked that having bars is absolutely necessary in order to be a rapper. [Citation needed] You are well recognised that the bars are an absolute requirement.

The line is required to be there. However, the delivery is a very, very significant and crucial component of rapping, isn’t it? When I last practised my rapping skills, they were subpar.

“I’m not going to try to deflect from that argument by questioning why Derek isn’t in the Hall of Fame. That’s not going to happen. Because that is not exactly what I had in mind, I left out a very important word from what I actually planned to say.

But I have no doubt in my mind that Derek’s career should be inducted into the Hall of Fame; after all, why shouldn’t it be? Does he now have the Most Valuable Players? No. Is he a former winner of the Super Bowl? Still not. That is something that we are actively working toward.

Carr and Adams played together in college at Fresno State, and Carr’s residence in Las Vegas was a major factor in the All-Pro receiver’s trade to the Raiders this summer. Adams and Carr also played together in the NFL.

However, I completely forgot to mention that going from one Hall of Famer to another takes some time to get used to. I apologise for the oversight. In my conversation with Derek, I did not introduce myself as “Hall of Famer Aaron to Derek.” As a result, I am not in the least bit withdrawing my comment.

In reality, Adams defended not only his current quarterback but also his previous QB.

“You look at the numbers that he’s had and what he’s had to work with and the difficulty that he’s had in Oakland and coming to Vegas and the type of stuff that’s been going on here in the past, which, hopefully we’re putting all that stuff to bed, but yeah, I didn’t deliver that message the way that I had in my head,” said Adams.

Derek’s career, honestly, you look at the numbers that he’s had and what After seeing [the original quote] put up, it made me feel a little queasy in the stomach because I thought, “Oh my my, here we go. Because we are the only team in camp at the moment, whatever I say will be misconstrued and used to justify everything else.

Adams guffawed.

Adams made the following statement: “But what I’m not going to do is say Derek is not going to be a Hall of Famer because at the end of the day, I believe — and this is not putting any expectations or added pressure on him because he puts that type of pressure on himself because of what he expects every time he touches the field. ”

However, I deeply regret having said those same words. I’ll tell it once more: even if you shift from one Hall of Famer to another, adjusting to the new environment will be challenging.

When I said “whenever you trade quarterbacks,” that’s what I meant. Therefore, make use of that, and run with it, to achieve the goals you have set for yourself.
