Five hours after responding to a report of “shots fired” in Anderson Township that left a child injured, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Officers visited the residence of Bengals running back Joe Mixon early on Tuesday morning.
It’s unclear how Mixon is involved.
Around 8:30 p.m., deputies went to a complaint of gunfire in the 7900 block of Ayers Road, according to the sheriff.
One young person was taken to the hospital with minor wounds. It’s unclear how the young person was hurt.

Somewhere during the evening, deputies taped off a residence on Ayers Road.
A warrant for Joe Mixon’s arrest that was issued earlier this year on charges that were later dropped lists the same house next door as his residence. Records kept by the Hamilton County Auditor show that the property has not changed hands since that time.
In Mixon’s yard, there was at least one evidence marker. Around 11 p.m., deputies covered his house with crime scene tape.
After 30 minutes, deputies were seen loudly identifying themselves as sheriff’s deputies and ordering the homeowner, Mixon, to come out.
Around 12:15 a.m., they let an automobile into the driveway of the house.
Around 1:30 a.m., a law enforcement officer showed there with an envelope containing papers. Minutes later, several deputies walked into the home. Around the house, flashlight beams could be seen. About two in the morning, three deputies arrived with note-taking materials.
About 3:20 a.m., the crime scene tape was removed, and deputies departed without making an arrest.
