Philadelphia (AFP) – Injured the previous night, Christian Jaffer and the Houston Astros desperately needed to find a way to keep Bryce Harper and Phils on the baseball field.

How about not hitting?

Javier and Houston were runners-up in World Series history, calming a burgeoning lineup and feisty fans as the Astros played two games each after beating Philadelphia 5-0 on Wednesday night.

“You slapped yourself yesterday and you want to come back today and make a statement,” Ryan Presley said closely.

The only World Series no-hitter was Don Larsen of the New York Yankees against the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1956. Javier and the three relievers weren’t perfect in Game 4, but they were close.

In addition, they have done it in advance: Javier, who starts in every series against the New York Yankees in June, retired and who has nothing going on after the introduction six on 97 pitches this season.

Brian Abreu, Rafael Montero, and Pressley each made a no-hitter run for their first no-hitter roster in a postseason game.

The Astros’ arms combined for 14 hits and 3 walks will determine this year’s win at Minute Maid Park this weekend.

After a while, J.T. Realmuto went off the pitch to finish him off and four pitchers posed with catcher Christian Vazquez near the visitors’ bench, each holding the ball to take a photo.

It’s an image no one could have imagined 24 hours ago when Philadelphia hit a record of five home runs in Game 3 of the 7-0 series.

“Crazy, my friend,” said Vasquez. “It was special.” The four pitchers and Vasquez also signed a header for the Hall of Fame.

Javier said his parents expected him not to pitch Tuesday night. The 25-year-old Dominican right-winger said his father, Cecilio Javier, arrived in the United States on Tuesday.

“I just got out and stayed true to God, tried to be positive and attacked the attacking territory,” he said through the translator. “Thank God I was able to achieve this.”

In 2010, Roy Halladay launched a no-hitter for the Phillies in the NL Division Series, also here at Citizens Bank Park.

Halladay’s gem was against the Cincinnati team, now managed by Houston captain Dusty Baker.

“Oh yeah, I was on the other side of the stage. I mean, it’s the weirdest thing in life.” Baker said. Larsen and Houston are the only three players to have failed in the postseason.

The closest the Phillies came to success was in the third inning when Kyle Schwarber missed first base. There is nothing in the fair ball.

“Okay,” said Schwarber sarcastically. “We’ll probably land in the history books.”

Game 5 will take place in Philadelphia on Thursday evening. Astros ace Justin Verlander will revisit his elusive first World Series win when he faces Noah Syndergaard.

They can expect to throw in Javier. At the time of Javier’s departure, the only pitcher from the Philadelphia side to show up on the scoreboard was rocker Bruce Springsteen, surrounded by Phillies players.

A few innings later, as the fans began to leave the stadium, there were actually boos for the playoffs. Harper stars with the Phillies. First lady Jill Biden, a Phillies legend, was among the crowd of 45,693 who had little to say.

“To me? I mean, a loss is a loss,” Phillies manager Rob Thomson said. “That’s how I see things.”

Alex Bregman delivered the big hit Houston was hoping for, a two-run double in a five-run fifth inning, and it was a big one for the Astros.

Taking care of it well, Javier struck out nine – including five in a row – walked two and didn’t allow any hard contact. He coached a team that was 6-0 at home in the playoffs while hitting 17 homers.
