Mike Richards, a former executive producer and host for one week, derailed the first hunt to find a replacement for Alex Trebek. Despite the usual trend on the Internet to favor one host over another, Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik have been taking turns hosting the show from behind the podium.

Jennings and Bialik will continue to co-host Jeopardy! through the show’s 39th season, as confirmed by Jeopardy’s executive producer Michael Davies. He went over the details of how it will operate.

More than 27 million people tuned in to watch Jeopardy! every week during its most recent season, making it “the most-watched entertainment show on all of television.” Michael Davies stated that due to the show’s packed schedule and long-term goals, having many hosts was the right answer.

A month after dropping hints about an impending announcement, Davies finally confirmed that Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik will continue their roles as co-hosts of the show. The breakdown is presented here.
On Monday, August 1, production for the 39th season got underway in the Alex Trebek Stage. Michael Davies, the executive producer of the show, assured the viewers that they “won’t flip-flop the hosts regularly,” highlighting the need of maintaining continuity. In the upcoming season, Ken Jennings will serve as host from September through December.

Matt Amodio, Mattea Roach, and Amy Schneider are going to participate in the Tournament of Champions, which will be hosted by Jennings. Not to mention the accomplishments of all the other season champions.

The winner from the previous competition will also serve as the host of the first-ever Second Chance competition. This competition will invite competitors who did not win the previous competition back to compete again.

Mayim Bialik will take over after Ken Jennings’ term ends in December. The intention is to keep her around for as long as is humanly possible, but Michael Davies notes that this would rely on her commitments to the Fox sitcom Call Me Kat, which will begin filming the third season this fall. The executive producer will keep fans apprised of any modifications to the timetable so that they are not caught off guard.

Before she takes over the daily episodes of Jeopardy!, Mayim Bialik will first host the Celebrity Jeopardy! spin-off that airs during primetime. The College Championship for JeopardyNational! will be hosted by her, and Michael Davies has added “a number of new events.”

During the summer break, Jeopardy! will air fan-favorite episodes from its 38th season, rather than rerunning previous tournaments. In these chapters, we will discuss games that were played by mega-champions, games that were very close, and the upcoming Second Chance possibilities.

The episodes of the Inside Jeopardy! podcast will take listeners inside the scenes of the show with comedic tales, instructional analyses, and one-of-a-kind interviews, among other things.

It’s possible that this discovery won’t be the one that changes everything about Jeopardy! supporters were hoping for, but I couldn’t be happier that they finally revealed something permanent so that the attention can be returned to the game. Jeopardy! airs during the week in syndication; check out our 2022 debut schedule for information on new and returning shows.
