Because of his work in “Stranger Things 4” as the misunderstood Hellfire Club leader Eddie, Joseph Quinn has emerged as the fan favourite of this instalment of the series. Fans who saw Quinn for the first time in “Stranger Things 4” might not have realised that he is a British actor because he speaks with an American accent. Quinn began his career with appearances on BBC dramas such as “Dickensian” and “Howards End.” It was difficult to achieve mastery over it.

A recent episode of the “Off Menu” podcast had an exchange between co-hosts Ed Gamble and Quinn, during which the latter complimented the former’s American accent. Quinn responded by saying, “You feel like a sociopath” (via Insider). “After some time, I found myself so far down the rabbit hole that, at certain instances, I found myself wondering, ‘Do I sound good?’ Do you like this? Are you enjoying what I’m working on?'”

Joe Keery, who has portrayed the role of fan favourite Steve from the first season of the hit Netflix series, helped to alleviate some of Quinn’s anxiety attacks regarding his American accent. On the set of “Stranger Things 4,” Keery and Quinn quickly became good friends with one another.

Quinn stated, “I was chatting to Joe Keery, and at one point I was so deep in it,” and he said, “Dude, I can’t help you, but I assure you it’s going to be alright.”

It turned out just fine, since Quinn’s performance on “Stranger Things” went on to get praise from both fans of the show and members of the media. Eddie, who had been assaulted by demon bats in the Upside Down, did not survive the season’s last episode and hence did not appear in any subsequent episodes.

“When we met Eddie, it was love at first sight. After the conclusion was shown, the show’s co-creator, Matt Duffer, stated that the audience had “fallen in love with Joe.”

“I think everyone in the cast fell in love with him,” said one of the cast members. Although we were aware that he had to pass away, there is a part of me that wishes he could have survived for Season 5. You should strive to experience yourself in that manner.

The fourth season of “Stranger Things” is now available to stream on Netflix.
