Recall that Jack Dorsey, the co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, left the company in May 2022 after some discussions with Elon Musk. Since then, he hasn’t kept his arms crossed and has been working on Bluesky, a brand-new social network that aims to compete with Twitter.
The eponymous programme has just recently appeared on the iOS App Store. Even though it may be downloaded, this last one is not yet publicly accessible and requires an invitation code to use.
The official Bluesky website doesn’t give much details about the social network or its availability. It is however feasible to add your email address to a waiting list in order to obtain this renowned séame. But, screenshots from the App Store provide a brief overview.
In any case, this new network might benefit from Twitter’s current weaknesses. Also, this morning, the network demonstrated operational issues, both on its application (there aren’t any more) and the web.
Therefore it was possible to send a tweet using the app, but in many cases, only the author could see it (which is not ideal for the audience). Twitter’s search function was no longer functional. The Down Detector website has recorded thousands of signalements during this average 2 hour period, particularly in France.
