At San Diego Comic-Con, Rodriguez informed the audience, “[It was] loads of working out, plenty of protein shakes, plenty of gas” (via Insider). many pushups and situps. There is a lot of lifting of weights. I sort of persuaded [producer] Jeremy [Latcham] to set me up with a punching bag beside my trailer because you could become fairly frustrated during COVID. That helped a lot during the difficult days. I had a blast during training.

She continued, “I gained around 10 pounds of muscle for it. Fun was had. Carving the body out was a lot of joy for me.

On March 3, 2023, the Paramount Pictures and eOne production will make its theatrical debut. The cast is completed by Chris Pine, Regé-Jean Page, Sophia Lillis, and Hugh Grant.

Rodriguez, who also appeared in the upcoming “Fast X,” made light of the fact that her “Fast and Furious” co-star Vin Diesel is a “Dungeon Master” and claimed that by appearing in the cinematic adaptation of the Hasbro game, she got to “rub it in his face.”

If you’ve ever looked in his closet, he has all the accessories of a Dungeons & Dragons fanatic, Rodriguez quipped to Entertainment Weekly. When he writes and produces movies, he uses a lot of his Dungeon Master techniques.

The long-running series director Justin Lin left the project as a result of Diesel’s involvement in “Fast X,” and Louis Leterrier was appointed in his place. “Fast X” will be released on May 19, 2023, and features Brie Larson, Rita Moreno, Jason Momoa, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, and Cardi B.

“Fast X” kicks off the two-part conclusion to the more than 20-year-old franchise.
Of course, Rodriguez isn’t the only female action actor gaining notice for a trim physique. Natalie Portman discussed her transformation into Mighty Thor for Taika Waititi’s Marvel Cinematic Universe episode “Thor: Love and Thunder.” She claimed that it took her ten months to physically prepare for the film, including months of preparation prior to beginning to actively put on muscle.

I was instructed to go as big as possible, Portman told Variety.

That is a tremendous challenge—and also a woman’s mental state.
