O Ministério Pblico do Trabalho (MPT) encontrou ao menos 22 trabalhadores in situaço de moradia degradante em Guariba nesta segunda-feira (13) (SP).
According to information obtained by EPTV, a subsidiary of TV Globo, the men left Coroatá (MA) in January to compete in the lavoura and were staying in at least two precarious lodgings.
The fiscalization occurred after the MPT received a complaint and was supported by Federal Police officers (PRF).
According to the MPT investigation, there were not enough bathrooms in the apartments, the rooms had rachaduras, and in some cases, six people shared a 10 m2 room.
Aside from that, the investigation reveals that some of the males did not have the card registration as promised by the employer.

It is expected that an agreement between the employer and the employees will be approved on Thursday (14). The males have been directed to return to their birth state beginning next week.
According to the MPT, there are currently no elements that support the group’s existence.
