Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra welcomed their daughter Malti a year ago (via surrogacy). Up until recently, they were successful in keeping their adorable young daughter out of the spotlight. Priyanka has been posting pictures of Malti but hiding her face for a little over a year. Priyanka uploaded several photographs of her child on Instagram after the couple celebrated their daughter’s first birthday, but she continued to cover her face with a white heart.

Many others questioned whether this was an isolated incident and whether we would get to see more of Malti’s face in the future. Priyanka could, after all, resume hiding her face behind emojis in photographs, but it appears that for the time being, she has chosen to display Malti’s face on her Instagram. On Valentine’s Day, Priyanka posted a picture of her husband and daughter. Later, she just uploaded a selfie of herself holding her child on Instagram with the message “Days like this. ❤️”.

It’s clear that ever since Priyanka became a mother her perspective on life changed. She’s shared in interviews that having a daughter really made her shift her perspective. Now, instead of constantly working and thinking what’s the next job, the next project, she focuses on her daughter. It grounds her and gives her a sense of calmness because, in one way or another, all her decisions end up being about her baby.

It’s certainly possible that, once her daughter has a chance to mature a bit, Priyanka will reconsider this decision and return to keeping her out of the public eye. It makes sense that parents would want to safeguard their children from unwelcome attention. Malti deserves to grow up normally after all, but for the time being, we’ll just enjoy gazing at her adorable newborn face.
