Some of the world’s best athletes are trading the vault, pommel horse, and uneven bars for the stage floor in a stunning merger of sports and entertainment.
A team led by 11-time Olympic champion Simone Biles has launched on a tour of the United States for a “high-energy and high-flying, gymnastics-meets-pop-concert spectacle.”
The Gold Over America Tour showcases its performers’ incredible aerial exploits and athletic ability, which has propelled some members of the group to Olympic triumph.
Biles stated in a news release that she is “so excited” and described the trip as “a victory lap around the US.”
“Not just for us gymnasts, but for the audience as well because we’re all celebrating our big wins over in Paris, so to bring us all in one place and get to tour America, there’s no better way.”
She stated that she was excited to “share the love and passion that we have for gymnastics with everyone in the audience.”
Biles added three more Olympic gold medals :
To her collection in Paris earlier this year, winning the team, individual all-around, and vault events while claiming silver in the floor exercise.

The tour began on Monday in Oceanside, California, and will include 32 arena gigs. It arrived in Phoenix on Wednesday, where Phoenix Mercury basketball players Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner, and Kahleah Copper greeted the cast at the city’s Footprint Arena.
Biles and co. visited Los Angeles on Friday, with the second leg of the tour slated for Saturday in San Jose.
The tour will include stops in Denver, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, and Orlando before concluding on November 3 in Detroit.
The lineup includes many of Biles’ national teammates, including Jordan Chiles, who is presently appealing a decision that denied her a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, Jade Carey, Hezly Rivera, and Joscelyn Roberson.
“We don’t have to get judged on every event!” When asked what the most significant difference between the tour and the competition was, Chiles told Wire. “There are no numbers; nothing like that. I believe it is simply about us having fun and expressing ourselves. There are many diverse characters on this tour.”
Team USA’s male representatives include Paul Juda, Brody Malone, and Frederick Richard.

Biles is leading her second Gold Over America Tour. The event’s first incarnation, an all-woman tour, took place in 2021, with the goal of inspiring the future generation of female athletes.
This year’s trip, however, is the first time male athletes have joined the ensemble.
Biles described the athletes’ connection as a “brother and sisterhood” and stated that she was excited to work with gymnasts with whom she does not usually interact.

The tour’s abbreviation, “GOAT,” is most likely a reference to Biles’ legendary status in professional gymnastics. Biles and Chiles practiced “goat yoga,” balancing a live goat, as part of a recent warmup.
