Taylor Swift has never ‘had a partner who has even been so openly proud to be with her’ like Travis Kelce, author says.

Taylor Swift has never 'had a partner who has even been so openly proud to be with her' like Travis Kelce, author says.

Taylor Swift attended the NFL season opening on Sept. 5 at Arrowhead Stadium, Travis Kelce’s home.

On a break from her record-breaking “Eras Tour,” the singer-songwriter wore double-denim and a Versace corset. Her lipstick and thigh-high Giuseppe Zanotti boots, which fit her lengthy legs, referenced the team’s crimson color.

Swift exuded confidence as she passed the photo pool. Imagine her singing, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs…” while she had complete control over her steps. That swagger may have been a wordless response to the fake Kelce-Swift split plot that circulated this week. Sources say they left the game holding hands and are “solid.”

This month marks a year after Swift made this connection public at her first Chiefs game in September 2023. Taylor Swift Is Life: A Superfan’s Guide to All the Things We Love About Taylor Swift author Kathleen Perricone told Yahoo Entertainment that it’s different from her former romances in all the right ways.

She is with a man who is on her level but not in her world for the first time. Zero competition. Perricone said there’s no crossover until he or she picks up a guitar or football.

Thus, “They can support each other,” the author noted.

That support was evident during the Chiefs opener and Swift’s 13 games last season. Kelce has attended 14 of Swift’s worldwide tours.

With this relationship being one year old, Kelce, who took the first move by making Swift his signature friendship bracelet and giving her a shout-out on his New Heights podcast in July 2023, seems in awe of her skill like everyone else. Kelce followed Swift backstage after a European gig this summer, boosting her to the adoring fans with hand gestures, Perricone says.

She remarked, “She has never, ever, ever, ever had a man who has even been so openly proud to be with her. Due to his privacy, “I think her last relationship,” with British actor Joe Alwyn, was unknown. Maybe she didn’t think she could shine. She said she wasn’t “bejeweled.” Travis indeed does. He seems to respect her, which is essential to a strong relationship.”

Perricone added, “I don’t know what’s in store for them, but I hope it works out because it gives me hope that you can find that—someone who loves and respects you. Despite ‘You Belong With Me’ and the cheerleader-quarterback dynamic, I would never have paired her with him based on her past dates. Just works.”

Successful women are unfairly judged, including in relationships, and Swift is no exception. John Mac Ghlionn wrote in Newsweek this summer that the 14-time Grammy winner is a bad role model because she’s “unmarried and childless.” Soon after, Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance made his controversial “childless cat ladies” comment. Swifties everywhere replied promptly and calmly.

Perricone found many cases of Swift thriving despite the higher standard she is held to in her studies.

“I actually didn’t read the Newsweek story because it made me so mad,” Perricone remarked. “I need only look at the headlines.” The year is not 1888. The tale was ludicrous. Marriage and children are not the key to happiness, joy, and fulfillment. Swift makes billions in every city she tours, and charities benefit. She also delights millions worldwide for three-and-a-half hours every night. And you’re after her for that?

She said, “We know that negative stories, not positive ones, get the most engagement and attention.”

Taylor Swift Is Life: A Superfan’s Guide is favorable since it highlights the entertainer’s inspiring life. It chronicles Swift’s ascension to music industry dominance and includes frameable images of her in all her glory. Easter eggs and “Taylorscopes” for each zodiac sign are covered throughout her discography.

Taylor enthusiasts will appreciate “Swiftology A to Z,” a collection of her love of arm lyrics, maple lattes, glitter gel pen songs, and more. It also recounts how Swift has raised her voice on crucial topics in her 30s, as many expect she may endorse in the 2024 presidential race.

The handbook, the first in Quarto’s Modern Icons series, the next generation of the best-selling Little People, Big Dreams volumes, is worth collecting for Swifties, according to Perricone.

The “invisible string,” as Taylor calls it, makes it fun to read, but you’ll want to display it with your collectibles or Taylor gear. It feels heirloom-like, she said.

It’s simple to see what she’s about and stands for if you haven’t consumed every song on every album and related them to everything you know about her life and loves or attended a “Eras Tour” event with a sleeve of bracelets and a “A lot going on at the moment” handmade T-shirt.

“It educates people—whether you’re a superfan and know everything, your children are fans and you want to know more, or you know nothing,” Perricone added. Where to start after eleven albums is daunting. This deconstructs Taylor Swift’s myth, mythology, and folklore.
