With season 11’s last episode, The Walking Dead will come to an end, but audiences have already witnessed the ideal moment. The eleventh and final season of the popular AMC program debuted on August 22, 2021, and with 24 episodes, it was the program’s longest season to date. Many loose ends will be addressed in the final episode of season 11, and stories for many planned spin-offs, including The Walking Dead: Dead City, a Daryl-centered spin-off, and a limited series centered0 on Rick and Michonne, will be introduced. Many people are hoping for a happy ending for the survivors of the zombie apocalypse when the series eventually comes to a close.
The initial group of survivors from The Walking Dead season 11 are still adjusting to life inside the walls and dealing with a collapsing Alexandria as the Commonwealth and its peculiar political system are introduced. The Commonwealth and its residents will play a major role in The Walking Dead’s finale, with maybe some major shocks and emotionally charged deaths, if the series’ plot even loosely matches that of the graphic novels. The season 7 unsettling debut, “The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be,” gave fans a small peek of a happy ending, so there is yet hope for one. Negan kills Abraham and Daryl in the seventh season premiere of The Walking Dead. Glenn responds to the ongoing cliffhanger in a terrible manner.
All of the survivors, including Abraham and Glenn, were gathered around a dinner table sharing a picnic in the sun. Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, was experiencing hallucinations of this idyllic family and togetherness as a result of having to witness the brutal murder of two members of his family. This was not only a beautiful scene at the end of a painful and terrifying episode, but it also gave fans a preview of what The Walking Dead’s ideal climax would look like. Time jumps in the past are nothing new on
The Walking Dead. with the two most prominent ones occurring in season 9’s premiere, which takes place 18 months after Negan was vanquished, and episode 5 of that season, “What Comes After,” which takes place six years after Rick left the show. Given that the last issue of The Walking Dead comics is set 25 years after the previous issue, the series’ biggest time jump may occur in this issue.
The significant time jump in the comics is related to Rick’s narrative, but because Rick hasn’t been on the main program since season 9, many are speculating about who will step in for him. With tensions rising in the Commonwealth and the evil Lance occupying the nearby settlements, the last eight episodes of The Walking Dead are expected to be the most intense yet. The specifics of what will occur in the final episodes are being kept completely under wraps, but viewers can anticipate some startling turns and if previous seasons of The Walking Dead are any indication, the deaths of several significant characters. On November 20, 2022, the series finale will hopefully take place in a happy future where any surviving characters can finally live in peace.
