11 standout animal images of the Urban Wildlife Photo Award

The contest was initiated by the photography platform based in London to recognize its "enduring trend in photographing  

urban wildlife which proliferated during COVID lockdowns," according to a press release released with Insider.

Nearly 6,000 photographers from all over the globe -- which includes Nicolas Bamberski, 

who took the image above of a squirrel lying on the San Francisco Bay -- submitted their images to be considered.

Prints of the winners and the Finalist images are now available through Picfair 

The profits from the business going to the conservation charity Re:Wild. Re:Wild..

The Overall winner: "Date Night" by Andrew Interisano Interisano's photo of the winner was taken at Niagara-on-theLake, Ontario, Canada, town of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

"I thought it was my car that had caught their attention as I rounded the corner, and maybe it had at first,"  

the amateur photographer wrote to Picfair about the wildlife featured in his photograph.
