Aaron Boone, manager of the New York Yankees, became enraged following the team's 'embarrassing' 9-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.

The New York Yankees' manager Aaron Boone has been having a difficult time explaining the team's free fall in the back part of the season.

He does, however, hope that Friday night's 9-0 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field served as a wake-up call for New York.

The normally polite Boone said, "That's an embarrassing defeat.

"Fingers crossed one of those embarrassing and humiliating situations where you should be furious

. Here, we've established a higher bar. We simply need to improve. Period."

The Yankees' 9-0 loss was their biggest thrashing of the year.

Their largest loss since October 2, 2021, specifically against Tampa Bay, came by a nine-run margin (12-2).
