Top 25: Georgia returns to No. 1, Alabama drops to No. 3 in AP poll

In the rankings for college football, there has been another shuffle.After nearly defeating unranked Texas A&M, 

Alabama, the previous week's No. 1 team, lost two positions to No. 3.

Tennessee's advancement, USC and Oklahoma State—both still unbeaten—moved back one position to Nos. 7 and 8, respectively, while Nos. 9 Ole Miss and No. 10 Penn State completed the top 10.

UCLA jumped seven positions to No. 11 in the new poll following a strong home win against Utah, the defending Pac-12 champion. contrast, like Utah, Kentucky likewise fell nine places. 

After losing to South Carolina at home while starting quarterback Will Levis was out, UK dropped to No. 22.

Illinois is ranked for the first time since 2011 after improving to 5-1 with a 9-6 win against Iowa. 

JMU is rated for the first time in its debut year as an FBS programme. After defeating Arkansas State on the road 42-20 on Saturday, the Dukes are now 5-0.
