Apple takes a shot at an Oscar contender starring Will Smith before the slap.

Civil war drama "Emancipation" completed filming earlier this year.

Now, Apple is at a loss as to what to do with the movie

Mr. Smith is the star of "Emancipation," a film set in the Civil War era that Apple envisioned as a surefire Oscar candidate when it wrapped filming earlier this year.
