Attorney Camille Vasquez for Johnny Depp: I was "fortunate" to represent him in court

Attorney Camille Vasquez for Johnny Depp expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to represent him in court against Amber Heard, his ex-wife and alleged batterer.

Vasquez was asked in a teaser tape before a sit-down interview why she believes the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor chose her for the defamation action.

The 38-year-old attorney stated, among other things, that it was crucial to have a woman on the team.

“Why?” King pushed back. Vasquez responded, "This situation asked for a woman's perspective, and I was the lucky one chosen to undertake this task."

Do you feel fortunate? Is the term lucky? King stepped in one more. Vasquez concurred, saying, "I believe so, absolutely. "

I believe there was a combination there of hard work and luck, which you cannot undervalue.

It's a lot of work, yes, but there's also a little bit of luck involved, and I didn't take the job lightly.

He lived his life under this identity. It was significant, said Vasquez.
