Harvard University ranked first in Altrata's first-ever University Alumni Report, which ranks universities with the most ultra-high-net-worth alumni.

About 17,660 UHNW alumni, or 5% of the world's UHNW alumni, are graduates of the university. Pennsylvania (2.1%) and Stanford (2.3%) finished second and third, respectively.

Graduates and undergraduates are considered alumni, but honorary, incomplete, and executive degrees are excluded.

According to U.S. News and World Report, the school fell to 18th from second last year, ranking fourth among schools with alumni worth over $30 million.

16 U.S. universities make the top 20. Non-U.S. institutions include University of Cambridge, National University of Singapore, Oxford University, and INSEAD.

The University of Texas at Austin, University of California, Los Angeles, University of Michigan, and University of Virginia are the only public universities in the top 20.

At 91.7% and 96.2%, respectively, the California Institute of Technology has the highest share of self-made UHNW alumni.

Thai Chulalongkorn University has 22% female UHNW alumni. U.S.-based George Washington University leads at 16.2%.

 The top 15 non-U.S. universities are five British, two Chinese, and two Indian.
