How Susan Sarandon Changed the End of 'Thelma & Louise' 

Until Susan Sarandon intervened with director Ridley Scott, Louise was the only one to die in 1991 classic "Thelma & Louise."

If it hadn't been for Susan Sarandon, Thelma might have survived. 

In fact, the Oscar-winning actress — who played Louise opposite Geena Davis' Thelma in 

1991 road-trip classic "Thelma & Louise" — made some last-minute changes to the script that sealed the fate of both characters 

Until Sarandon interfered with director Ridley Scott, only  Louise had to die in the end. 

"[Scott] said, 'Well, you're definitely going to die, but I'm not sure about the other character. 

Uh, you can push her out of the car,'' Sarandon told Vanity Fair.
