Mississippi River Low, Viking Cruise Can't Finish Voyage

10 OCTOBER,2022

Low water levels prevent a Viking river cruise ship from completing its journey up the Mississippi River.

A portion of the Mississippi River has been closed due to unusually low water levels,

which has an effect on all shipping traffic traveling both north and south, according to the statement.

The Viking Mississippi won't be able to finish the current voyage or get to St.

Paul (Minnesota) in time for her following scheduled departure on October 15.

The cruise line stated that passengers had been informed, however,

they did not specify the number of people who have been impacted.

According to a passenger's statement on Thursday, the Viking ship had experienced low-water issues before on this journey.
