New business class and premium economy seats on American Airlines

In the upcoming years, American Airlines will phase out long-haul first class.

----------------

Consolidating its Flagship First and Flagship Business classes is what the airline plans to do.

----------------

The premium economy cabins on those planes will also be updated and expanded by American and new seats with headrest wings will be installed.

----------------

The fundamental element of all of this is that American Airlines keeps hearing from and listening to its consumers.

----------------

According to Julie Rath, America's vice president of customer experience.

----------------

Our Flagship Suites that we are delivering are very much in line with what customers expect in a premium cabin.

----------------

Every passenger will have direct aisle access and privacy doors in their Flagship Suite seats.

----------------

Julie Rath said that the privacy door is extremely important to our customers.
