Real Madrid or Barcelona: Which club wins more Ballon d'Ors?

In football, the Ballon d'Or is a yearly honor given by a French magazine, France Football, to the best men's player.

Britain's Stanley Mathews was the primary beneficiary of this honor in 1956.

Beginning in 1956, the honor has been conferred each and every year. However, in 2020, the coordinators removed it due to the COVID-19 pandemic which had ended the homegrown times of a few countries.

Between 2010 and 2015, France Football and FIFA had merged the Ballon D'or award with the FIFA World Player of the Year award.

In those six years, the new honor was called FIFA Ballon D'or.

Lionel Messi is the current holder of the award and has won it seven times, trailed by his on-field rival Cristiano Ronaldo with two.

Genuine Madrid brag of having the most number of Ballon d'Or champs in their positions throughout the long term.

Seven Real Madrid players had won the honor multiple times in the past with Ronaldo winning four while wearing the Royal White.
