Robyn Denholm, chair of Tesla, explains the EV manufacturer's presence in China.

Tesla Chair Robyn Denholm gave a speech to the National  

 Press Club in Canberra, Australia, on Wednesday, 

outlining the importance of the powered vehicle  

manufacturer deepening its roots in nations like China.

The executive pointed out that Tesla needs to have  

 factories on every mainlandIn order to meet its 2030  .

 production target of 20 million vehicles annually.

"Factories are being built all over the world.  

In our opinion, the future belongs to lithium-ion 

batteries and electric vehicles.So we must be present in  

 most of the world's major markets, said Denholm.
