The "Hand of God" shirt worn by Diego Maradona at the 1986 World Cup set a previous record
when it was sold by the auction house Sotheby's for $10.091 million. The price of that jersey was $9.28 million.
It was peddled in October 2021 for $2.7 million.According to Sotheby's, it lived the next Jordan trials jersey to be requested for auction.
During his final campaign, Jordan performed his "Last Dance," which was documented by ESPN in a 10-part documentary.
During this historic run, "His Airness" won his sixth and last NBA championship as well as his sixth Finals MVP award.
