Sylvester Stallone's extra work for The Godfather wasn't successful.

Sylvester Stallone made his film debut as the boxer Rocky Balboa, he had always dreamed of playing a gangster. 

That question is addressed by The Godfather, the first mob film, and Stallone's attempt to participate in it as an extra didn't exactly go as intended.
