The Tesla Model 3 almost hits an oncoming train due to its Autopilot

"Full Self-Driving Capability" is not what Tesla's Autopilot system promises:

Autopilot is neither a true autopilot nor able to drive

On a highway or city street that is clearly marked, it can ease a driver's workload.

This new video of his Model 3 almost driving into an oncoming train from YouTube channel Beta Tech OG shows, however, that the system is far from perfect.

Drivers test the Autopilot system on the streets of Denver, Colorado, with the Full Self-Driving option.

Tesla's Model 3 nearly hits several things during the nearly 18-minute video, leading the driver to eventually call it a bad drive.

In addition, two of its mistakes were more egregious than the rest, and one of those nearly caused the Tesla to be hit by a Denver light rail train as it attempted to turn left into the train's path.
