“About Oscar Night”: Jada Pinkett Smith hopes Will Smith, Chris Rock can help her ‘heal’

Soon after Will Smith had slapped Chris Rock at The 94th Academy Awards (94th Academy Awards), Jada Pinkett Smith said that some of her family’s “discoveries about…healing” would be shared “whenever the time calls.”

It is now.

Jada Pinkett, a member of the alopecia group , welcomed Wednesday’s visitors to her Facebook Watch series Red Table Talk. That Oscars moment ignited passionate discussions about the hair-loss condition that she has.

Pinkett Smith stated at the end of the show, “Considering my health issues and the events at the Oscars,”

“I am using this moment to offer our alopecia families an opportunity to talk about the experience of having this condition, and to educate people about alopecia.”

Before Will Smith walked onto The Oscars Stage and smacked Rock in his face., the comedian made a joke about Pinkett Smith’s shaved hair to Demi Moore’s in 1997 film “G.I. Joe.” Jane.”

The actor and TV host spoke out about her experience with alopecia wereata prior to the awards show. This is an autoimmune disorder that results in rapid hair loss. It affects approximately 7 million Americans, according to Meena Singh, a dermatologist and guest on “Red Table Talk”.

Pinkett Smith said, “Now, about Oscar night.”

“My deepest wish is for these two intelligent, capable men to have the opportunity to heal, discuss this and reconcile the current state of the world. They are both essential and we need them more than ever. Will and I will continue to do the same thing we have done for 28 years. Let’s continue to discover this thing called life together.

Chris Rock says ‘softest’ rapper ever slapped him

Chris Rock joked with Dave Chappelle two nights after a man attacked the comedian on stage during his set at the “Netflix is a Joke” comedy festival in Los Angeles, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Chappelle and Rock performed at Los Angeles’ Comedy Store on Thursday night, two nights after Chappelle’s Hollywood Bowl set was interrupted, THR senior writer Seth Abramovich reported.

“At least you got smacked by someone reputed!”, Chappelle told Rock. A homeless man with leaves in his hair smacked me.”

“I got smacked by the softest n—- ever rapped,” Rock told THR.

A joke he made about Jada Pinkett-Smith got him slapped at the Oscars by Will Smith.

Chris Chappelle told the crowd Thursday night that he spoke with the man who ran into him.

Chappelle said the suspect, identified by police as 23-year-old Isaiah Lee, told him about how gentrification led to the eviction of his grandmother in New York.

The suspect told Chappelle that the rush was meant to bring attention to her difficult situation. Both Chappelle and the suspect discussed the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation trial and Roe v. Wade.

Lee has been charged with battery, possession of a weapon with intent to assault, and interfering with a performance.

Lee pleaded not guilty on Friday, and his bond was set at $30,000.

Rock refused to comment on the incident before.

“I’m fine,” he told the Palm Springs Desert Sun . “I’ve got a whole show, and I can’t talk about it until I’m paid.” he said.

Rock’s family members, including his brother, comedian Tony Rock, and his mother, Rose Rock, have spoken out about the incident. Rose Rock said her family was affected by Smith’s actions. Tony Rock has previously said he would ‘pop’ if Smith ran up onstage while he was performing.

“He slapped all of us when he slapped Chris,” she told WIS-TV. “He really hit me.”

She also noted that Smith overshadowed the presentation of the Academy Award for best documentary feature to Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson for ” Summer of Soul.”

Following the Oscars snub, Apple TV+ is reportedly holding director Antoine Fuqua’s Emancipation until next year.

More than a month after the slap that got him banned from the Oscars for a decade, Will Smith remains persona non grata in Hollywood.

Smith’s future projects were put on hold after he assaulted Chris Rock over an ill-advised joke made about Jada Pinkett Smith.

His awards-season follow-up is reportedly being pushed to next year.

According to Variety, Emancipation, an action-drama in which Smith stars as Peter, a slave who escapes slavery in the Louisiana swamps, has been delayed from its fall 2022 release date to some time in 2023.

The film was expected to be a repeat award contender for both Smith, who won best actor for King Richard, and Apple, fresh off its best-picture win for CODA.

Variety reported that an anonymous filmmaker said they predicted Will would win back-to-back Oscars when they saw the footage before the slap.

A source told Variety “it’s an unspoken truth” that Emancipation will be shifted off the 2022 schedule.

While discussions between Apple execs and the filmmakers about a fall release continue, “it seems highly unlikely that it will happen.”

In addition, both Bad Boys 4 and Netflix’s Fast and Loose are reportedly on hold; Netflix also reportedly canceled its sequel to 2017’s Bright, although it’s unclear whether that decision was influenced by the Oscar slap.

Since the incident, Smith has kept a low profile. A source told Entertainment Tonight that he has been in therapy since the Oscars incident last month.

He has yet to address the scandal publicly, but he will appear on David Letterman ‘s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, premiering on Netflix May 20.

Smith’s interview was reportedly filmed before the Oscars.

A spinoff based on a random character is possible.

Will Smith played Genie in Guy Ritchie’s live-action reboot of Aladdin .

Another prince will soon shine in that universe.

In an upcoming Disney+ film, Magnussen will reprise his role as Prince Anders.

Aladdin’s Princess Jasmine kills him horribly with a gun.

Prince Anders is a character from the original animated film that is loosely based on Prince Achmed, except that he wasn’t such a jerk.

Aladdin simply outdid him with his charm.

The prince of Skaland was a nice guy, but he was also a bit bumbling.

A spin-off film will feature him prominently.

It’s an interesting direction, but Disney might be trying to expand the universe Will Smith created.

Magnussen says the project is in development.

Currently, we are in the process of rewriting, and it’s still progressing.

There is no doubt that this is something I am looking forward to… In creating this character, I had a lot of fun coming up with it, and I am now getting to do something I’ve wanted to do before: create a world and a story around it. I am so glad for this opportunity.”

The picture below shows a picture of Prince Anders:

Ultimately, it is likely that Billy Magnussen could have done a lot to assist studio executives in putting a complete movie together about this unusual character had he been involved.

Prince Anders may actually be a strong military leader who could provide Agrabah with a military alliance, despite his apparent foolishness. Jafar suggests this possibility.

Anders’ accent and the soldiers standing behind him resemble a Nordic type, so his background in the military makes sense.

Will Smith's next awards contender is reportedly delayed to 2023

It is possible for the character to break out his own genie from the lamp

Since Hollywood has shunned Will Smith in recent years, it is safe to assume he will not return to his original role.

Upon release, the film became an instant hit for Disney, earning over $1 billion at the box office.

Investing in this universe makes sense. This successful reimagining of sorts was done by Will Smith, Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, and Billy Magnussen.

His awards-season follow-up is reportedly being pushed to next year.

A sequel is also in the works, though it will take some time before it is released.

The Prince Anders spin-off might not be seen before Aladdin 2.

A few members of the original cast may return as well, though it is unlikely that they will all return. Prince Anders could theoretically attack Agrabah for portraying him as some sort of full.

I would like to see more of a war break out that they will have to stop, but this is just speculative.

Will Smith talk about Chris Rock’s slap on Letterman’s Netflix show?

His awards-season follow-up is reportedly being pushed to next year.

Oscar winner’ breaks silence

After slapping Chris Rock at the Academy Awards 2022, everyone is eager to hear Will Smith’s first words.

He knows when he will break his silence and who he will speak to.

It has already featured Dave Chappelle, Kim Kardashian, and former President Barack Obama, according to ComicBook.com.

This episode is just weeks after Smith reacted explosively to Rock’s GI Jane joke. Alopecia is the cause of Rock’s wife’s shaved head.

Will Smith’s Letterman episode be on?

Each episode will feature a different guest, ranging from Cardi B to Kevin Durant to Billie Eilish to Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Ryan Reynolds.

During the interview, he will be able to talk honestly and openly with Letterman, but he won’t be able to discuss the moment because it happened before the Oscars.

In the wake of recent speculation about Smith and Pinkett’s relationship and the news of their marital issues, Letterman and Smith will speak about the actor’s current retreat in India for emotional stability after he was criticized for physically attacking Rock.
