cool travel outfit How exciting, and how tiring travelling can be, and especially when you are preparing for a long flight. It’s very important that you select the right kind of clothing you need for the trip you have planned. On my last journey, I had a 6-hour flight, so style and comfort were at the forefront for me, with me choosing a travel dress that really helps. Below, I will break down exactly why this outfit was so successful and some guidelines to follow when selecting your own travel outfit!
First, comfort is just around the neck, but more specifically, it is the first thing that you wear on your upper body. I had to opt for a casual fabric that is comfortable in a light desert climate. I selected a cotton t-shirt and a warm cardigan. The t-shirt was comfortable and dry and helped reduce sweating, the cardigan was perfect when I got cold in the closed aeroplane cabin. Here’s why layering works so well for travel:
This I found kept me warm and I was able to adapt with ease should I feel hotter or colder on the plane.
For bottoms, comfortable stretch joggers were incorporated. It may be chic to wear jeans or restrictive pants but after a few hours of sitting it is going to feel very uncomfortable. Here’s why joggers or similar styles are perfect for travel:
They made it very much easier to move around, stretch or even doze off in my seat during the journey. Also, they were not tacky and could be worn at the airport and my final location.
While shoewear, shoes are the ultimate factor that determines the overall comfort of an outfit you are wearing. I went for slip-on sneakers, a choice I highly recommend for several reasons:
An equally comfortable slip-sneaker will take you through a long trip comfortably thus you will never experience any discomfort on your feet.
For this purpose, I decided to take a soft scarf with me and comfortable warm socks. These items might seem minor, but they added extra layers of comfort and warmth:
In this particular journey these accessories were helpful and made my trip comfortable and friendly for the different weather inside the plane.
In addition to choosing a comfortable outfit, here are a few more tips to make your long-haul flight easier:
Long haul flying is more than just getting through the hours of travel in comfort, it is about being able to get on the plane as a tired business person and get off as a revitalized one. The right attire goes a long way, and I learnt my lesson the hard way during my recent 6 hour flight. I decided to wear some breathable fabric, a comfortable but somewhat stretchy jogger, slip-on sneaker, a scarf which is an accessory must for me and a warm sock and was comfortable the entire movie time and for fashion, it was chic.
A. Comfortable travelling clothing can be loose fabrics, stretchy pants like joggers or leggings, and spare layers for different temperature inside the plane. Comfort is also contributed by such relieves as shoes and other related accessories such as a scarf or quality socks.
A. Examples of shoes include slip-on sneakers or other shoes that have attractive cushioned insoles. They can be easily removed during security checks and offer some assistance while walking around the airport.
A. Yes, layering is recommended because airplane cabins change in temperature sometimes. Having a T-shirt or blouse, or at least a spaghetti strap, underneath a sweater or cardigan, allows you to have versatility in temperature.
A. Absolutely! Joggers help to remain comfortable and their free and relaxed cut will not restrict movement when one is required to stay sitting for many hours in a plane.
A. Everyone should pack a scarf or pashmina because it can double as a cardigan and a blanket. Also one more thing relative to comfort, wearing thick socks is useful to keep warm in the plane, in case one has a tendency to take off shoes during the flight.
