If a person:

• Scraps his petrol two-wheeler, less than 12 years old,

• An incentive of up to Rs 10,000 per kWh will be given for L5M category electric auto-rickshaws.
• A maximum subsidy of up to Rs 45,000 will be given on a vehicle.
• If an auto driver scrapes an ICE auto less than 12 years old, he will get a scrapping incentive of Rs 20,000.

Not only this, the government has proposed that:

• It will be made mandatory to convert all CNG auto-rickshaws that have completed 10 years during the policy period to electric.
• In such cases, a replacement incentive of Rs 1 lakh per vehicle will be given.
• But keep in mind, no other subsidy will be given after this.

How long will this policy remain in force?

Delhi EV Policy 2.0 has been prepared as a supplement to the PM E-Drive scheme of the central government.

This policy will be in force till 31 March 2030.
