‘The band is heartbroken’ Bad news for Stills, Nash & Young lovers. Graham Nash, 82, has claimed that Stills, Nash & Young will not perform anymore because of David Crosby’s passing.

“There’s no heart there,” Nash said on Rolling Stone on Wednesday. David must have been at the center even though he remain an odd man. My God, guy was insane. But he was the band’s heart. Well, if Stephen and Neil and I were playing together, then people would begin to miss Crosby. We’d miss Crosby. The scene would be colder.”

Even though Nash and Crosby had a troubled friendship, they stayed in light correspondence up until David’s January 2023 passing at the age of 81 due to a mysterious long illness according to his wife to Variety.

“Every day, I miss him more because life is choices and the only thing that I recollect about him is the moments and music that we together created. I don’t want to focus on everything that could go wrong. I prefer to think only the positive.”

Apparently, Nash said the band was in talks to reunite and then Crosby got sick and that sealed it.

“Of course, that has to be true,” he said of the speak easies reunion. “We were emailing and he voicemail me, so we have a FaceTime meeting with him so we could look into each other’s eyes. He then got Covid. This is probably why we could not make it for that date; I was sick. He died a few days later.”

Full band performance last date was 12/05/2015 for CSNY. Counting Stills and Young the second Harvest Moon charity concert held in Lake Hughes, Calif., on October 5.

This became the band Crosby, Stills, and Nash with Young in 1969 for a count of four. The next year their “Déjà Vu” became their first album sale of over eight million, with hits such as “Woodstock”, “Teach Your Children” and “Our House”.

This is a company who had egos, friction and drugs so they split in the 1970s but played on occasion.

Nash is the only living member of the CSN&Y band that frequently sings their songs. Nash said he still enjoys rocking out,telling Flick what he said although he added that since the remaining three may never stage another show.

You want your audience to come out knowing two things. I wanted them to listen to music. I’m not calling in, he said. On this I will not half-ass it. Second, I’ll do the songs that I have sung a million times with the same hard I have written. My feeling towards my audience is, “I believe my audience deserves that.”

Nash said Crosby “was fearless in life and in music” on Instagram after his death.
